staged or not, not really concerned, but I did read a post from a Musical performer I follow where she thinks his (smith's) move was as bad as the comment

I don't know if this is true. I've heard that to boost the Oscar ratings, next year there will be a segment where Alec Baldwin demonstrates safe gun handling practices on movie sets. I suspect that a lot of people will tune in to see that.
