What will it take to get the people mad ? ...

Well, I suppose they are mad but are grinning and bearing it. Maybe
they feel guilty because they voted for Biden as it's hard to lay blame
when you yourself might be the problem. Or maybe the diehard democrats
believe in 'my party right or wrong'. Whatever the reason, when you
consider the dismal state we're in with everything esential to our
'pursuit of happiness' costing more than most can afford, it's a wonder
that we're not witnessing riots in the streets. On the other hand I think
it pretty safe to say that if this were happening under a President Trump,
then the liberal press would be calling for just that, riots, if not worse.
Possibly the threat of Biden bumbling us into a conflict with Russia is
keeping people on tenderhooks and a wait and see attitude, but if real
shortages of food and energy become acute, just maybe we'll all get mad.

We have just seen a demonstration of the mentality of Biden voters.

Dogtag doesn't (or can't?) vote, but you might be right. He hasn't confirmed.

          About oil prices:

There's about 10 billion barrels of storage capacity worldwide and we use ~100 million barrels a day. So 100 days storage. How much of that storage is used at any given moment....depends. But if oil traders everywhere decide at once to buy extra to put in storage, the price skyrockets, even though there is enough to meet demand from consumption.

That's how you get high prices but no lines at the pump--people buying oil they don't need at the moment. Just like ammo and reloading components. Buying to put it on the shelf.

Do people really want Biden to regulate that??? I think if we ask our resident"oil man" he'll tell us he likes things as they are.

Please tell us how you know the 10 billion barrels of storage are filled?

I don't know what the normal rate of occupancy is. A round guess would be half, 5 billion barrels in use at any given time.

We know that in the Spring of 2020, storage capacity was at a premium, and the price of oil fell dramatically.

We know that the oil market reacts to supply instability with sudden demand increases as buyers look to bank stocks of crude as a hedge against supply shocks, and that the result of this is a price jump.

You studied economics RED so you know everything I am saying is by the book.

I wonder what WOULD motivate him to vote, especially if he's wondering why everyone else isn't torqued off enough to "do something about it".
