Of those 4 billions of years, human civilization is ~4000 years, and English-speaking North America about 1/10th of that. Blinks of the eye, comparatively speaking, if one argues in geologic terms.

And for much of those 4 billion years, the climate was not suitable for human civilization to form, much less to sustain at the current world population levels.

Point being, climate deniers and climate shruggers both are taking a lot for granted when they just assume that everything will be just fine.

So yes, climate refugees are a thing and will continue to be a thing. The border pressure will only get worse. This will be true because the climate doesn't care who is in office. I am completely confident in this prediction. Those of you still alive in ten years, remember that togor said the border pressure will only get worse.

Also RED you missed the Antarctic temperature anomaly recently in the news, which blew everyone away. Nobody had ever seen such a thing, much less imagined it could happen. Big changes at the high latitudes. So the action is not out YOUR back window.

So what about the Antarctic thing? Weather is always TOO. Too hot, too cold, too dry, too wet, too stormy, too something. This winter I saw the coldest day ever recorded at my location. Anecdotes prove nothing. Wednesday the strongest tornado ever to hit Springdale AR but that doesn?t prove the population needs to migrate.

Ask every illegal border crosser why the are breaking the laws of both Mexico and US. NOT ONE FREAKING ONE, will tell you they are there because their weather is too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry, too stormy, or too something.

Your assumption is radical and not supported in reality. Dream on, Santa Claus, and Cinderella, are real.

Blowing off climate change is your idea, not mine. I'm just pointing out the obvious, that it comes with side effects, like a buttload of people headed north.
The illegals are coming in record numbers never seen before! Joe invited them, period! No restrictions! They are coming here for all the free stuff joe is giving them! They do not want to work! If you think joe is doing the right thing then why don't you take in some illegals in your neighborhood?

The climate doesn't care about your opinions, or mine. It is doing what it does. Either people recognize this, or they don't.

For example: all of the nations of the world with arctic coastlines are examining what an ice-free polar ocean means for them. Even countries that agree on little else agree that the rules are changing in the Arctic. Now why would they all be doing that unless they were all looking at the data?

This is the point where the climate deniers turn into shruggers. Neither the deniers or the shruggers are in any position to say anything of value--including you--because they start by ignoring the data that they don't like.

You literally have nothing of value to say on this subject.

              Those dang farting dinosaurs.

Sediment analysis from a layer deep within the Earth revealed that the dirt had first formed on land, not the ocean.

You are finally edging over to something I have been saying for years. The climate is what it is and does what it does no matter what.

If you get your new world order and outlaw fossil fuels, you can also order a speed limit on human travel. 10 MPH should do it and we would not need automobiles, planes, or motorcycles or electricity for that matter. That would work for maybe a billion people and you would need to get rid of a few billion folks. That?s OK, your buddies Vlad and Slojoe may do just that and happy days would follow.

RED the point is human activity--injecting carbon into the atmosphere--is affecting the climate in ways that do not bode well for the status quo.

Deniers claim this is not happening.

Shruggers claim such changes are benign or benevolent, with proof of neither assertion.

Going from 250ppm to 400+ ppm and rising atmospheric CO2 in the blink of an eye is a gigantic experiment, the full outcome of which we don't know. But already we are seeing ominous signs, like larger storms that can plunge Arctic air deeper into lower latitudes than previously observed--and tropical air to higher latitudes.

Togor, if what you are saying is true, the too cold Poles are warming and the too hot Tropics are cooling down.

As far as the carbon goes, the US has done a lot to reduce our carbon emissions. Unfortunately China, India and Russians are not doing so. Only North America and much of western Europe are even trying to reduce their outputs.

You seem to think if the USA becomes a total dictatorship our glorious leader will with the stroke of a pen take cars, trains, planes to the junk yards and enslave the working class by allowing them not to have any possessions not provided by their glorious leader that climate change will go away.

Your overseers have already started on the task of taking all parental influence away from them and indoctrinating 2 and 3 year olds. We use to call what you are doing brainwashing.

Mother Nature has a habit of tossing out a schload of carbon now and then, much more than we smug humans can, and yet she takes that in stride

climate changers want to play chicken little, with just a tiny drop of time (compared to how long the world has been here) as undisputed ScIeNCe
