Of those 4 billions of years, human civilization is ~4000 years, and English-speaking North America about 1/10th of that. Blinks of the eye, comparatively speaking, if one argues in geologic terms.
And for much of those 4 billion years, the climate was not suitable for human civilization to form, much less to sustain at the current world population levels.
Point being, climate deniers and climate shruggers both are taking a lot for granted when they just assume that everything will be just fine.
So yes, climate refugees are a thing and will continue to be a thing. The border pressure will only get worse. This will be true because the climate doesn't care who is in office. I am completely confident in this prediction. Those of you still alive in ten years, remember that togor said the border pressure will only get worse.
Also RED you missed the Antarctic temperature anomaly recently in the news, which blew everyone away. Nobody had ever seen such a thing, much less imagined it could happen. Big changes at the high latitudes. So the action is not out YOUR back window.
