    Is Putin guilty of genocide?

    I don't think so.

      Define genocide. Never mind-
the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.
Do the Russians hate the Ukrainians? Is it that deep? No, they don't always coincide with each others ah...what ever it is, but... do the Russian people (regular citizens) want to run over Ukraine? I don't think so. I don't live there so I don't know what they think. But, genocide is very primitive. Say, the Africans. Machete hachet chopping (that's pretty primitive). And that was prompted (somewhat) by big countries. It's a messy planet sometimes.
Ukraine, no. I don't know about the other two. I know the names, but I don't follow this stuff much. You must read a lot.

Sometimes groups that are nearly alike to outsiders are tough as nails on each other.

The Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, for one example.

        Serbs and Croats for another.

        Hutu and Tutsi in Rwanda.

And I guess Russians and Ukrainians too.

I am reminded of the brief dog fighting scene in the exorcist. Ignore everything else (of the first or most of the movie). Togor said Hutu.

If Zelensky said it then I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

took a class in college on Genocide

              US (early) and Native Americans
              Hitler and Jews (duh)
              Armenians,

a few other instances I don't recall, (as in I would need to find the reference books I still have)

nothing like what is happening now,

more modern would likely be some Middle Eastern issues or the crap that happened in the Former Yugoslavia

Russia is capable of it. I read up a little about Chechnya.

-Troops assembled villagers and townspeople, loaded them onto trucks – many deportees remembered that they were Studebakers, fresh from Lend-Lease deliveries over the Iranian border – and delivered them at previously designated railheads. ...Those who could not be moved were shot. ...[A] few fighters aside, the entire Chechen and Ingush nations, 496,460 people, were deported from their homeland.[40]

These same eastern regions currently fought over, Stalin had food forcibly removed from while Ukrainians starved in the 1930's. And then there's the charlie foxtrot that was Chernobyl. Ukrainians have suffered repeatedly at the hands of Moscow. If they want to rid of the Kremlin once and for all, then who is to say they are wrong?

                  PS screw Tucker Carlson.

That's Europe for you. I'm so glad I live in this nice country. Except for the rasism and that ugly patch where we burned witches. But other than that, we're pretty nice.

At our best we have the guts to look ourselves in the mirror and say where we went wrong. A lot of peoples can't do that! At our worst we tell ourselves the lies that allow us to get through another day.
