    Did you know?

The inflation rate is 19.5% if you calculate it according to 1980 methodology

Under Trump where I live, gas was 2.50 a gallon.
    Under Biden it's 5.95.
    That's a 100% + increase (my methodology)

      Where are wages at Red?

All time profits and all time inflation...hmm.

Of course not. Middle class pay ranges have been stagnant since the late 70's, while productivity is far above what it was prior to that time.

This inflation nonsense is strictly profiteering. The next crash these same institutions will be begging for additional bailouts. Once again the government will have to socialize the losses in an effort to maintain employment.

Red needs to acknowledge that US inflation is not happening in a bubble, the world is experiencing it too. However, US companies are piling it on at a greater rate...all while unemployment is at its lowest level ever due to the Boomer retirements and the lack of available talent in the US population.

And the GOP secretly needs illegals to fill the gap at the bottom. All of these schizophrenic attitudes....no wonder the endless efforts to keep people confused.

The Dems aren't schizo about it.

                    That's the difference.

Only one side is shouting "Build That Wall" all the way to the bank. Bannon was pardoned by Trump for fleecing the suckers. Two of his associates, not pardoned, cut deals. These are simple facts available to even the lowest of low information voters.

I disagree. While there is some profiteering, part of the inflation is current policies such as restricting truck driver hours and oil (no oil leases or pipelines) policies. Part is the pandemic removing people from the labor pool. Local wages have gone up significantly. Poultry plants around North Alabama have gone from $10 to start to $16. That will impact the cost of your chicken dinner. Most fast food restaurants are at $12. China's policies and impacts on the global supply chain are driving up our prices. (Hopefully U.S. companies will start on-shoring more products.) Not to mention devaluing the dollar.

                          Where are the wages????

65 million senior Americans live on Social Security and how much more are their incomes?

Meanwhile totally incompetent people are given $15/hour at McDonalds plus A $500 bonus if they stay for 4 weeks.

Yesterday I went to McDs and gave my order at the drive through. It was too complicated for the drive through attendant to understand so I asked for manager.

My order was for a large unsweetened ice tea with 2 sweeteners. The manager asked me Why would you order unsweet tea then ask for sweeteners?

She was earning $20+ per hour.

                          Absolutely a true story.

With an order like that, the competency argument goes both ways.

                            McDonald's tea, no less.

                            This was in Arkansas, right?

Both ways? McDonalds only has iced tea and on the menu it lists both sweet and unsweet. Diabetic people do not want sugar and almost always order unsweet and use a artificial sweetener.

They are not the only ones with illiterate stupid people dealing with customers. Around a big college (U of Ark) there are plenty of students working retail. Most of them can not write a simple sentence without mistakes in grammar or spelling.

A Walgreens clerk recently refused to fill a prescription because I did not have my drivers license with me (it was in my car) but I had a valid picture VA, ID and valid credit and debit cards. I asked for a supervisor and none was available. I had to go to Wal Mart to get the medicine.

Stupidity is flaunted everywhere and not just AR as togor alleges.
