O'Bammy announced yesterday that the 1st Amendment is not applicable to social media like twitter and face book! He wants MORE censoring of all social media as if there is not enough now! So, if you disagree with someone or something the democrats are doing, you will be taken down! Eventually this will include ALL newspapers too? What about the person who stands on a street corner and gives his opinion?
The 1st Amendment is basically dead today because of the new 'WOKE' democrats!

What favors of late has the First Amendment done you? Your posts are all over the map, full of anger and distortions. I bet if you unplugged for a bit you'd go back to being your old self. Just saying.

Fair bet that if the founders traveled forward in time and saw a nation of rage junkies staring at glass screens, they would think long and hard.

In theory a sense of individual responsibility should lead people to turn off the computer, TV, or stop sticking the needle into their arm. But the addictions are too powerful.

Women have a choice. Sex or not is that choice. Personally I think if women want to be totally equal to men we could end all differences. If a woman wants to play professional basketball try out for the Lakers if you are 6ft 10 in. and can dunk a basketball or consistently hit 3 pointers they can play pro.

Or if a woman can hit .300 or pitch with 2.0 ERA, fine the Yankees or Dodgers will sign her up.

Let em sign up for the Seals or the USMC, if they can stand the training that is fine.

Make the separate but equal nonsense go away. No mens club, no Girl Scouts, no separate restrooms, no women and men prisons, and make girls and boys shower together in high school.

That is equality.

It's everything!

Social Media is private property. They try to monetize speech. That means you post, read, they make money. By selling adds. Their algorithms are designed to push what "sells".

However there are limits to what the owners, the workers, the public is willing to endure.

Some people are determined to push those limits, and when they get blowback, they whine about free speech.

But their speech on Social Media was never free--it was part of a deal with social media companies--you post, watch the stupid ads we sell, and read other posts that our AI says will get you juiced. Or skip the ads and send us money.

But in all cases, your speech is carried on THEIR private property. It's theirs, not yours. If they don't want racist hateful crap on their system, because it hurts their business model, then that's their decision to make.

If they dump someone, that person can still write letters to the editor, Congressman, give speeches in front of the Courthouse, etc., same as ever.

There are SM sites that boast that they allow hateful, racist crap on them. And it finds them! But.....it turns out that these companies don't break out to big followings, because apparently the big boys are right, that this content turns people off.

So the market is dealing with the wingnuts and their extremism pretty well. Which is why they want laws changed to force business to carry their crap.
