Remember, we're all liberals in his view. Anyone who finds any value in something called the First Amendment. Or for that matter, any of the amendments. Don't be fooled into thinking otherwise. Others point out that Russia is a land with numerous invasion routes, that over the centuries, have been used. Hence this idea that there has to be an oppressive, powerful state ready to crush all enemies, regardless of borders. Americans, protected by oceans and with a friendly border to the north, can live differently. And we should!
