You're describing pro-2A voters there, as you know. And the evangelicals are the most likely to say God gave them the mandate to run things.

This is not to say that the banners aren't as locked into their viewpoint as say the anti-abortion people. They are (trust me I have been chatting with them of late--not here). But God doesn't really come up.

Actually I'm not. The Left's motto is OBEY! 2A folks don't insist others adopt their view-even those communities requiring gun ownership had a clause for those who objected. We just want to be left alone, just like the folks who emigrated to the New World to escape oppression.
