Is there anyone in the World more popular than the Queen ? ...

If so, who ? It sure as hell isn't Biden, or Putin or Kim Jong Il or
whatever his name is - the jerk from North Korea.
Whether the Commonwealth will hold together when she goes
and Charles takes the throne is a big question. Charles is a Moron,
he said twelves years ago that we'll all be dead in twelve years.
And he dumped Diana for Camila - huh. It's a pity we can't skip
past Charles to William and Kate as they're far more popular.
Luckily, Kings and Queens no longer run things, they're merely
garnish. If they get too stroppy we detach their heads from their body.
Charles might do well to recall his namesake's fate.

    Trump was at one time.

As far as England goes I feel it will be Kate after the queen is gone. William isn't disliked but seems to be overshadowed by his wife. Kate will be the next Diana.

As far as skipping over, I read 3-4 years ago that was the queen's wishes but was told it can't happen that way.

From what I read, Charles will always be blamed for Diana's death and she was much more liked than the queen when she lived.

Their mess though, not ours. A lot of folks in the UK have voiced doing away with the needless Royal family. They are just figure heads and don't rule or control like they once did. The old castles are crumbling and in need of repair. The cost is going up and up and the taxpayers aren't getting any good out of them plus, it looks like the families are growing. There's all kinds of prince's, princesses, dukes, earls, duchess, etc for Cambridge, Sussex, Edinburgh, York, and so forth.

Just my 2 cents. It doesn't cost me.

Those young people who wish the Royalty gone are like those
young here who don't know that Mexico and Canada border us.
      Dumb sh!ts in other words.
When you compare the Queen's popularity with Trump's (at one time)
you have to add Canada, Oz, Kiwis and the rest of the Commonwealth
      - a whole lot more people who still like Queenie,

The Prince of Wales came over here
        And raised a hullabaloo
And everyone turned out, ya know
        In gold and tinsel too

But the good old 69th didn't care for kings and peers

Charles will serve when the Queen passes, but Will and Kate will be at the front,

then Will will be the King (Charles is 70ish?) and maybe the last one,, depending on what England (UK) decides

The Queen requested that the Reverend George Carey, Archbishop of Canterbury, preside at a memorial service for victims of 9/12 outside of St Paul’s Cathedral. She especially requested that “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” be sung as part of the service.

Well the monarch just kinda sits there to be photographed. If you don't try to do anything, there's little reason to be angry about what you did.

How much if any monetary support does the UK government give to the Royal family?

There are Monarchies all across Europe (Cousins)
Victoria had nine kids who wed Europe's kids
Royalty will last because it makes for spectacle and postage stamps.

A lot. The Royal Family Stipends come to a bit over $40,000,000.00 a year and that does not include maintenance on residences (castles, palaces, lodges etc.) transportation including aircraft, yachts and even at one time, a train reserved for the Royal Family.

The British people obviously feel like they've gotten their money's worth, but of course the present monarch is among the best to ever have the job. From WWII, through several conflicts since, and the dissolution of the Empire she accomplished her duties, first as princess then as queen, with great dignity. Not to mention she seems to be a genuinely kind lady with a deep sense of duty and a keen understanding of her role. Next man up....we'll see.
