As you know there is this thing where "He may be an asshole but he's our asshole". Plenty of Americans think some strong medicine is required to set things to their liking, and without a doubt Putin is held up that way. Tucker certainly thinks so. And many feel that way about Former Guy.

Around here the arguments are more oblique--it's all Zelensky's fault, for example.

But scratch a guy who rants about gays and you'll find a Putin sympathizer underneath.
