Do you the difference between a correlation and causation? It's a common blunder to argue that because two things are observed together, one causes the other.

Snow tires and mittens, for example. Neither causes the other but they are observed in roughly the same places and at the same times.

COVID cratered gas demand. Shale drillers stopped drilling in 2020. But shale wells are short lived. So when demand started coming back, that production interruption was felt as a negative for buyers but a positive for producers who were finally making money. Remember not long ago the Saudis and Russians tried to drive the price down to put stress on US shale producers. So 2021, 2022, these companies are enjoying nice profits and are slow to spend them on new drilling, even though eventually that's the name of the game.

If you think Sleepy Joe likes the high prices, think again. They're what keep his arch enemy Putin in business.

Also you are now competing at the pump with increasing multitudes of Chinese, Indian and 3rd world motorists. If nothing else, that should make everyone think about going electric.

That knife cuts both ways though. In 2016-2020, there was a lot to complain about...but no one blamed them for missing toilet paper. They were responsible for a dismissive response to a global pandemic, etc.

There's a difference between going at a person for what they are directly responsible for (or have made public comment on)...and just screaming the same nonsensical arguments at the windmills.

Facts are facts. Fact, Biden killed the Keystone pipeline and at the same time okayed the Nord Stream 2 Russian pipeline.
