I can see it both ways: yeah, we and the rest of the world need to help them but ever since the break-up of the USSR they have known of the Russian threat and have been warned many times by other nations that Russia would try to get what was once their's back.

Perhaps they should have had their priorities set differently to put their military spending first?

The Ukraine is a very corrupt nation and we don't know what kind of political agreements took place during the break-up of the USSR. Not saying what Russia is doing is right--it isn't, but there may be unknown politics involved.

I read that Christmas list: Risk your butt getting here and risk getting the whole world involved in WW111 but bring us 500 tanks, 1,000 howitzers and all the ammo we can shoot, place it in our hands and we'll pull the triggers (is that a deal or what?). Plus he's wanting 300 rocket systems which we just don't hand out to anyone.

In short, is there a solution? Will helping them just prolong the war or will Russia run out of ammo? If the Ukraine wins this will it just occur again when the Russians re-stock and re-group themselves?

Placing very strict sanctions on Russia might have helped if China, NK, and Iran hadn't jumped in to help them and the latest is Egypt that has said they will buy all the oil Russia will sell them.

We can't fight everyone's war, we have our own problems here that need to be addressed but aren't.

Most here made it past 8th grade and some even played high school sports. When was the last time a good team captain sent others to do the captain's job?

WHO"S every one? My feelings are as Russian was a negative power in the world, what's wrong with helping to knock it's power down a little without any of our soldiers involved!
