This is well known but until the Ukraine invasion Canada clearly did not take the military threat in the Arctic too seriously. Yes we are building a fleet of 8 ice strengthened Arctic patrol vessels but in typical fashion, they are so lightly armed that a Russian rowboat could probably sink them. They have all of a 25 mm chain gun and a couple of .50 cal machine guns. No ship to ship missiles, no ship to air missiles. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_..._patrol_vessel

Wow? 25 knots top speed! The Littoral ships the US is ditching had a top speed of 45 knots. Why would Canada think that was fast enough? The huge 1,000+ foot aircraft carriers all can do at least 30 knots.

Not to worry. Global warming will melt the ice and the Russian bases will sink.

Didn't that happen in 2015? That's when Al Gore predicted the polar ice caps would be melted.

Prince Charles was right too, we're all dead.

These guys really know what they're talking about. If we'd listened we'd still be alive.

Gore has made a lot of money off of his "global warming BS".

That's how he was able to afford his waterfront home that he bought.
