SCOTUS Strikes Down NY Carry Law

This morning the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that laws requiring a person show a cause or necessity to to get a license to carry a concealed handgun are unconstitutional. Not only does this strike down New York's Sullivan Act, which was the law involved in the specific case here, but similar laws in a half dozen other states.

Good for them. Too bad so many defenseless people had to be killed first.

Next, I suppose the democrats will establish committee's to seek out those who do carry legally and impose the "red flag" laws upon them.

It will be interesting how they try to skirt this ruling, like red flag laws that will take forever "to check out" applicants. Anything to screw with the system.

And from what I have read, confiscating your firearms is the first act of business. Then you play hell trying to get them back even if you can prove you're not a threat.

I somehow doubt that I'll be able to walk around with a Sheriff's model 45 on my hip.
          Especially considering where I live.

Baltimore may become habitable in a year or so.
