There's a winner and a loser in a war - except this one. As I said earlier
this is a war where there are only losers. Even if Ukraine drove the Russians
back across the border, which is extremely unlikely, could she really claim
victory when most of the country is in ruins, millions of her people are in hiding
in Poland and elsewhere with many thousand dead or wounded. Her economy
is in the toilet, unable to export her wheat and fertilizer - most of which was
carried off to Russia anyway. And she has lost access to the sea and the Crimea.
Russia, even if she wins, it will be a pyrrhic victory because of the huge losses
of both military hardware and the staggering loss of troops killed or wounded.
She has been branded a pariah by the US and Europe which has caused her to
turn to China. Her Ruble is stronger now than ever and her enormous resources
are intact and can be used as a weapon against Europe and sold to her many
hungry customers.
Most of the World is now suffering through a food shortage, severe in Africa
and the Mideast but felt everywhere, causing economic hardships.
The US and Europe have also lost because we've driven Russia into the China
camp. Russia's economy has not suffered all that badly from the sanctions,
sanctions that have hurt us more than the intended target.
The last thing the Western powers can have wanted was for Russia and China
to jump into bed together. Together they make for a formidable foe, and when
you consider who's in the Oval Office and that our military has been Woked, it
makes you wonder just what has been gained by all of this ? Nothing.
