Is the Pendulum swinging too far in Roe/Wade ? ...

It seems to me that some States are going overboard with this thing.
Making it illegal even in cases of rape or incest seems to be overly
aggressive as does threatening to indict Women who visit another
State in order to have their abortion. Some States are entertaining the
idea of forbidding travel - that would be a sure violation of the Constitution.
All this overreaction will do is to cause even more anger than there
already is. We need sensible measures not draconian ones.

DT this is indeed a time I'm well pleased to agree with you .

So what now ? ... do we just tow the party line 100 % on this ? or should we start voting as Americans and not just Dems or Repubs ?

some Republicans are having second thoughts. Asa Hutchison, the governor of Arkansas has said that perhaps the Arkansas law goes a bit far and could use some tweaking.

I personally believe that a lot of these "trigger laws" were passed in the expectation that Roe would not be overturned, sort of having your cake and eating it too, politically speaking.

Good luck with that. Jesus wants more babies and he doesn't care how he gets them. At least, that's what those claiming to be his representatives here in the USA tell us.

Ace posted this link to Federalism. It's a not so short thread in twitter. But the author makes the point about it throwing the ball back to the state level voters and why that is desirable.

As far as JC wanting more babies several years ago I was immobile for a while and was tracing my wanderings through the pages of my parent's 1940s dictionary. World population then was quite a bit less and is probably what is truly sustainable.
