All the Good Cops have either quit or have been fired ,,,

The ones who remain are the Bad Cops.
These are the ones who kick your door in at 3am.
They look like Nazi Stormtroopers and they shoot
unarmed men 60 times in the back. They also stand
around chatting while kids are being slaughtered.
    And they're exempt from prosecution.

Remember when the friendly Cop on the corner would give you directions ?
Ask one now and you'll get glared at and told to move on.

OMG yes! Our local cops and the Captain of the kangaroo court here are obnoxious.

Here is a anecdote? the COVID hit and the Arkansas License Bureau was shut down for months. They stopped sending license renewal notices and when they reopened, the State waived late fees, but there was no notice published.

A couple of months goes by and I am ticketed for a expired license plate. I am over 75 and have a disabled plate that the annual fee to renew is $3.87. Everybody told me to go to court and the ticket would be suspended.

NOPE!!! I was fined by the municipal court $248 for the expired $3.87 plate.

And people wonder why I despise the local city and county cops.

About the motorist who was shot many many times while fleeing, on foot.

The best information the cops had is that the guy had fired a shot from his moving vehicle.

On that basis, cops are going to do what they do. 60 hits is a lot, but if you are going to shoot at cops, then the cops will shoot back.

      My Covid-era vehicle infraction story:

Saturday AM the roads are busy around the town dump, especially in the warmer months. County deputy sets up a speed enforcement zone on a nearby road, where the speed limit drops to 40 from 55. Well you know how these things go...traffic bunches up when the cop is around, and I'm in my old truck, just rolling along. Well in this deputy's view I got *too* bunched up in his speed zone. Now the thing is, I roll along another mile, then take a turn onto a county road where the speed limit is 55 again, roll for a couple more miles, then a right turn on the road into town. As I am about to make that right turn, I see lights flashing coming up fast, so I get out of the way. Long story short, this guy thought I was following too close--which is supposedly unsafe --so his remedy was to initiate a high speed chase, which is supposedly NOT unsafe. And he had to fly too because that local traffic kept him bottled up for awhile. But had I been going even the speed limit, there's a good chance he doesn't catch me before the turn. It's only that I was puttering along that I was where he could see me.

A complete chickensh*t ticket, and after he had finished his business, I said to him "we both know what happened here" and he just walked away.... Called the courthouse to contest. Covid rules so nothing before a judge, but they would knock my $250 moving violation down to $150 driving without a license. But I HAD my license....well that's the deal, unless you want to try your luck with the County Prosecutor.

For sure they do just want the money sometimes.
