That's an interesting point. In the VN era, guys got drafted, and got their tropical shots before getting on the plane/boat to SEA, right?

Gotta think it would be the same. Or maybe this is one of the reasons that brass doesn't want a draft (they don't)--all the bellyaching that comes with the reluctant-in-uniform.

They can't keep people at McDonalds or anywhere else for any length of time, who is going to join the army? Draft? That's history. We let foreigners pour into our country by the thousands daily. Isn't that kind of an attack? If 1 million Chinese show up at the border and request asylum, I guess we have to let them in. We're just that nice. Or stupid, or something. What would save us is the Mexicans et.el. They aren't afraid to use a gun.
