Illinois Governor's incredible knowledge of firearms ...

He taught me a lot of things I didn't know.
    You probably didn't either.
Very enlightening listening to Democrats lecturing on guns.

My cure for these a-holes would be life in solitary. Zero human contact except for the minimal required. No shrinks, no visitors, no regular medical stuff. Same menu for months on end, delivered by R2D2. No reading material. No way to keep track of time. Of course that would be "Cruel, Unusual and thoroughly Appropriate Punishment".
Life on Death Row in Japan.

Rather than worry about the comments from a politician on firearms, perhaps it would be more useful to push for immediate and very severe punishment for people who carry out mass shootings. Personally, I favor public hanging at the site of the shooting, with the families of the victims allowed to pull the lever.

Where is the evidence we do NOT have "immediate and very severe punishment" for people who commit these crimes? Are there any unconscionable delays in bringing them to trial? Do they just a slap on the wrist when convicted?

We deal with them harshly, AFTER the fact. We need to change the culture to PREVENT crimes like these.

"Harshly" meaning three meals a day, roof over the head and television.
A Library for those who can read, plus daily showers and haircuts.
