    More city cop bullying.

I moved to AR in May of 2018. i bought a $157,000 newly built house and paid cash for it. It has a 6? privacy fence around the back yard. Behind that fence was a trashed up alley with two unhooked gas meters, 2 unhooked electric meters, and 2 land line telephone hook ups. All my meters were attached to my house.

In June, It was 9:30 on a Friday night. I was home watching a movie sitting in my living room in my skivvies when suddenly there is somebody pounding on my front door. They did not ring the door bell but pounded hard instead. I thought my goodness someone needs help. I jumped up and rushed to the door and there was a cop.

He threatened me with a $200/day fine because I was not mowing behind my fence. They could have mailed me a notice, or simply called me. But that would not be bullying and that is their purpose in life.

Another one of Ray and togi heroes at work.

    News for you:

This story comes off as a ding alright, but not on Ray or me.

Wouldn't surprise me if the "Northwestern Arkansas Tourism Board" is mad at you too, just like every other local agency seems to be (from your reports).

Re: Alley. Do not doubt your post. Do very much question how any failure to maintain a municipal property can be charged against any homeowner. Would really really like to see how that would work out in court. Very much doubt that the city/county would be able to do anything except to pay the costs and penalties involved with an indefensible action. Sincerely. bruce.

gotta admit RED, togor has a point,

you sure to have issues in R Kansas with the police,

I have a couple friends in R Kansas and they don't have anywhere near the issues you do

I do not make this stuff up? I think the key is being a new Arkie. I grew up here but spent 50 years in Missouri. As I have said before, my brother in law was a deputy sheriff in Pope County AR. He quit after 4 years when he could no longer handle the corruption.

Again I do not make this stuff up.

I believe you as that was the way it used to be in some departments years ago but times have changed due to the requirement by states for mandatory training and certification for all officers and more state oversite of state and local law enforcement departments and officers!

That sounds like the city "code enforcement" from one of the bigger towns in NW Arkansas, correct?
