Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis for President ? ...

If Trump wins, he will have just four years to do what has to be done
to save America from the destruction done to it by the democrats.
He doesn't have to worry about being re-elected so he can go full speed
ahead and damn the democrats. Plus he's more daring and far sighted.
He'll put us back, at least mostly, to where we were when he left office.
Ron De Santis on the other hand will be less daring as he'll have to worry
about being re-elected. (Always on the mind of a new President).
He will try to not offend anyone which will weaken his ability to do what's
going to be necessary. Being Governor of a State is one thing, but being
President is way way bigger. After his four years we'll still be in a mess.
Maybe better than it was but still mainly a mess.

    Trumpworld has a problem.

    It's called the 22nd Amendment.

Depending on what day you catch them, he's either entitled to 2 more terms, having been "cheated" in his first, or he's been elected twice already and consequently it follows that he has no more terms of eligibility. More proof that supporting Trump turns brains to mush.

DeSantis. Would pick up lots of hispanic votes. Good speaker. Solid on 2A. Young enough to communicate to tribes of all ages. No excess baggage like Trump from appointments to SC, etc. as well as provocative statements that only serve to enflame hate. Best of all, he is not a old man. There simply are not enough old white men to swing an election in this nation. DeSantis is young enough to not make young people gag. That simply is not the case with the current fossils that are the likely demokrat nominees. Sincerely. bruce.

No they won't. They're not that easy to get rid of.

My dad would be just fine with Liz Cheney.

                      Question is, why aren't you?

I know why others aren't. Not a question that needs asking.

Pretty good. I see you don't appreciate the words of wisdom from the resident pseudo-intellectual. He does feed on a steady diet of baloney. Having a chronic case of diarrhea of the mouth, no need to go to the bathroom. Probably good advice to ignore this person. It appears he contributes very little other than argumentative nonsense that he perceives to be profound. He may be a politician, which would explain a lot. When I lived in Hawaii I had a pet Praying Mantis. I resent your implied association.

Vern is the pseudo intellectual around here, what with the fancy history degree and all.

I'm just a guy still drawing a paycheck as an engineer, whose day job is to solve problems. Decades of experience doing that have taught me the value of cutting through the BS.

Good engineers as a rule don't make great politicians, for just that reason. (BTW, our resident historian did run for Congress once. Make of that what you will.)

Lawyers are often skittish of having engineers on juries, for the same reason.

One observation. I believe Vern also has the "one upper" toxic personality traits.

If you've been somewhere, so has he..."but his family has a sign post there, etc."

                              It's borderline pathological.
