    What would you do?

If you were a MLB Allstar player with a $140 million contract and on a team battling for the play offs, would you think it is more important not to get vaccinated if you could not play?

Both St. Louis Cardinal stars, Arenado and Goldschmidt, cannot play in Canada and have made that choice.

Quote: One of those consequences is healthy skepticism of their words. It is ?important,? by Arenado?s reckoning, to win the division. It would be difficult ? if not impossible ? to read his decision to remain unvaccinated as anything other than a value judgment that winning the division is less important to him than this particular choice.

Considering what I went through on my first and only jab I would not get the follow ups knowing I would more than likely die from it. The $ amount would have to be very attractive and what I value my life as being worth to me and my family as well as my family needs.

If I already had millions the $140m wouldn't mean as much as if I were dirt poor and chance my health/life to provide for my family.

The various vaccines have saved a whole lot of peanut and jelly Americans from the extremes of Covid and its variants. There are lots and lots of folks in the cemeteries b/c they died of Covid or related conditions exacerbated by Covid to the point of fatality. Most everyone in my immediate and extended family have had Covid, most recovering completely. Some are not doing so well. We'll just have to wait and see how things go for them. Whatever some high/low dollar ball player does is irrelevant. They are playing for the dollar. They are not playing for the team ... or the fans. If they don't play, someone else will take their place. It doesn't matter. Cannot consider making decisions about Covid or any other disease based on what some ball player does or does not do. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

So far I have escaped Covid, nd so have most people in my various social circles. IMHO there's been a lot of fudging of the statistics, a word that suddenly popped up and has quickly been suppressed is "co-morbidity". All the cases of people "who from Covid" and then it was revealed they were in bad shape to begin with, whether due to old age or other conditions.

You are correct about that. The Government does not distinguish between people who died WITH Covid and people who died FROM Covid.

The WHO has estimated that in the first year that vaccinations were available, 20 million lives were saved worldwide. Certainly, a very small number of people had vaccinations that went bad and they became ill or very ill and certainly some people who were vaccinated still got COVID and died. (In fact, a few weeks ago I went to the funeral of a friend who had been vaccinated, got COVID in the hospital and died a few days later). Vaccinations are not perfect but statistically you are far better off being vaccinated than not being vaccinated.

For what its worth, both my wife and I have had two basic shots and two booster shots with no ill effects at all. All shots were the Pfizer vax

Novak Djokavich (SP ?) gave up millions by refusing to get vaxed.
He couldn't play at Aussie Open and can't play at US Open.

              I haven't been vaxed and I couldn't play either.

Well Bruce, have you ever known a professional athlete? I have and the few I have known loved what they did and would have done it no matter what the pay was. They also all had a very competitive attitude, and never quit and never gave up.

If all you want is money and do not care about winning, then there is no place for you on my team.

Lyman, it does not fit the goals/narrative of that crowd to pay any attention to Covid and getting Vaxed or not.
