Well I don't hang on every WH press conference like guys can who have cable, so I can only speculate.
But CBP might want it too so as to limit risk to staff. Again, just a guess but maybe not a crazy one.Comment

Price of gas seems to be coming down.
Good news or bad news?
Wait.... don't tell me....good news but no credit to Biden, just blame, by rule.
Pretty much?Comment

was the question directed at you?
it was a legitimate question directed towards Sandpebble since he mentioned, often, that prices were up on his cleaning supplies during Trump's tenure,
so the rest of what you post is either word salad, trolling, or just plain jibberish,
or if you need me to be blunt, an A B conversation, please C your way our of it,,Comment

Bunch of stickers say Biden is dropping the price of gas on the pumps. "I did that!"."The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. They who fired it were the greatest practical abolitionists this nation has produced." ~BG D. UllmanComment

You lost me.
The point is, I don't have cable, can't watch C-Span, FOX or Peter D. (who actually does a pretty good job IMO, from clips).
My guess is, CPB doesn't want to risk staff on tricky rescues. So put up barriers. If that's "completing Trump's wall" then sure, okay.

The US fracking industry lost $300B from 2010-2020. The recent spike was a chance for Wall Street to make some of that back. You'd deny US industry the right to recoup losses?Comment

did not loose you, it went over your head,
oil/ gas pricing is affected by many things, speculators/futures market, supply demand, etc etcComment

In answer to your questions Lyman .... Yes I did retire. Business was sold 14 months ago and just in the nick of time. I'll get to that part in bit
Not sure I claimed to be making a permanent move to Colombia ( with an O } but the plan of spending time there is panning out quite nicely . Wife and I have enjoyed several happy months down there this year and are anxious to be getting back soon.
I noticed your comment to Togor below and that somewhat steers the direction of this answer to the question of did things get better, as in costs , under Biden ?
Well no, nor did I expect them to in such short order. Yes I most certainly did complain about the increased business costs under Trump and you know why ? because they did increase a great deal . Mr Trump made the claim " Trade wars are good, and easy to win "
That turned out to be untrue, for if that statement was we wouldn't have had to write $ Billions of checks to farmers (pre Biden) and my business expenses wouldn't have increased so rapidly { pre Biden } The wheels for what is going on right now were set in motion quite some time ago and stopping some pipeline somewhere is not the cause. This is not a defense of Biden's not so successful past two years , just a mention that the mistakes made four years ago were the real root of this
The man who purchased my business did so to incorporate it into a business he already operated with the hopes of growth . " It's boom time " is what he said when we went to the bank to pay me off .
Well he's since lost all contracts affiliated with the business I sold him due to lack of sufficient staff .
I saw all this coming three years ago and so here I am , happily retired with not enough time in each day . Sort of the opposite of most people here I'd sayComment

You evil capitalist Sandpebble!
Enjoy your retirement and may that head for business timing keep serving you well into the future.Last edited by Roadkingtrax; 07-31-2022, 10:44."The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. Sandpebble, that was going to be my next question, how the labor shortages were affecting your (well now his) Business,
I still have contacts in the Grocery biz and I am glad I am no longer in that retail sector,
help has been extremely hard for them to find, from management down,
one friend said enough was enough, he was old enough and well off enough to quit, left the biz last monthComment
