Ammo shipments go missing when shipped by UPS ..

Suspicion is that the drivers are stealing them.
Maybe suppliers should use Fed Ex instead. Maybe
    their drivers are more honest.
Or is the Government involved ? Wouldn't be surprised
with this bunch of criminals running things.

I have shipped ammo via UPS in the past, and everything was fine. But they've gone anti-gun or something and cancelled their Brownells contract for example.

For drivers, maybe the ORM decal and the weight is a clue. But UPS driving is a pretty decent job, not necessarily worth a box of cartridges whatever the current price is.

FedEx will no longer deliver primers without a signature, and will not do will call at the hub. You must be home. A little hard when they deliver at 1pm and you might be at work.

Local FedEx might vary, but I live in a gun friendly state and a large metro area.

UPS, despite what is said about them being anti gun, called me wanting to get all my business away from the post office,
the account rep was worried because my usage dropped vs last year, but understoon when I told him I was selling a ton of ammo last year and not as much this years (collectible and surplus stuff)

he also understood when I told him I sell a lot of small pieces and parts that go first class much cheaper than UPS can deliver,

I do ship some long guns thru them, depending cost vs USPS

overall UPS has been good in this area, some small fukkups , but not often,

FedEx or as we call them FedUp is 2 companies in one,

FedEx Express is a FedEx ran company, with FedEx employed drivers,
they don't like to do hold or will call or whatever they call it , but will,

FedEx ground, which is what it is usually used for Ammo and Primers, is contract drivers, and most absolutely and positively suck in this area

the adult restrictions are sometimes due to the shipper, sometimes due to the sender, and sometimes both

most if not all of the big online retailers will not allow you to divert or change shipping info, you must be there,

only because John Q Public has tried numerous times to divert shipment to the home vs the dealer , and the ATF found out,

          Thank you for the education.

Thankfully I'm good for a while, but will always look for UPS shipping after playing tag with the last Natchez Fedex shipment.

            I learned the hard way,

few problems I had with UPS were always resolved with a phone call, and I usually have the same drivers,

FedEx is a living nightmare, the local management is horrible, the local contract guys are horrible, the corporate or national folks are horrible, and clueless
the Express folks have their act together, but that is only one small part of the business

had an account rep call me one day, she wanted me to use FedEx more often and even offered discounts etc for exclusive use etc etc,

and I am a small dealer, lots of places ship out more in a day than I ship out in a week,

anyway, I told her about several issues I had in the recent past, some in the distant past, and how poor the response was from local management,
I'm talking a 10 minute rant , and she says, so what will it take to get your business,,,

I started laughing, which pissed her off, and said you apparently had not been listening for the past 10 minutes, I keep using USPS and UPS ,, thank you

I order a lot through WalMart. They ship the larger items by FedEx. I always knew when my package arrived because I would hear it hit the door. The drivers were throwing the package, how far, I don't know. I had to quit buying items like jelly and whatnot in glass containers for the obvious reasons.

I suppose they either got a lot of complaints/claims or got different drivers because everything cleared up about 6 months ago. Now they handle things with more care, at least in my area.

What I don't like about FedEx is they have no office or terminal in my county. UPS has only one and is only open from 4pm to 6pm. Everyone knows how convenient the post offices are.

And FedEx crashed a plane that left Tom Hanks stranded on the other side of Gilligans island!

Really happened? Wow, I had no idea. I would think that libs would pounce that they are canvasing for gun business. Could make the DM page.

That one box he didn't open contained fully charged cell phones, MRE's, bic lighters, spare batteries for his flashlight, knives, fishing tackle, and a flare gun with flares.

                      yup,

                      nice guy,

I mentioned to him I was having trouble with my label printer, and that I may have to find a teenager to get the settings right ,
he got the joke about the teenager and computers, and found out the lable printer I have will not use the UPS software for whatever reason,
but did direct me to the supply page of the website and told me what to order to get standard labels for my standard printer that will peel off and work

he knows I sell firearms as well and did not mention anything about it,
