Europeans are enjoying the Green Energy Paradise ...

their politicians promised while they freeze their arses off. But it's in a good cause
those politicians will tell them while they themselves are probably warming their hands
in front of their coal fire.
Show me a Politician and I'll show you a lying hypocrite.

Total reliance on someone else supplying your needs is not the wisest move.

So that everyone gets a share of the fuel we should instigate a war with Russia. It isn't fair. Seriously. I don't know what the point of the russian invasion is, but we all need fuel. Here's our chance. It would be more legitimate than their goofy onslaught.

Nobody courts hard times deliberately unless they have a screw loose. But there's something to be said for measuring up when hard times find you. We used to celebrate that idea in this country, before so many in the media got soft.

One of my favorite Trump quotes was "we gotta toughen up in this country," but alas he never followed up on the idea. It was just a riff in a stump speech, never repeated.

I could say the same thing, sitting around the dinner table. Does that get anything done? No. Something like that could take decades unless the big sunami gets our attention.

The Europeans had more of a "Green Economy" 60-70 years ago when automobile ownership was not as widespread and they relied more on bicycles.

Well, yes and no. In those days they heated with soft coal and the London fogs were real peasoupers.

One morning after a real pea souper there were abandoned cars facing every which way
and a Bus with it's front wheel on the pavement (sidewalk).
One night I went to the movies with my Big Sister. When we came out it was thick Smog.
We caught a Bus but the Conductor had to walk ahead guiding the Driver.
We walked home. It was like being near blind. Took ages.
My poor Sister was read the riot act.
