Rabies shots are mandatory most places for your pet dog.

Why? There are 90 million registered pets that get rabies inoculations every year. About 60 dogs get the disease in a year. My dog has not ben around another dog or cat in 5 years and is healthy as can be. Why do I have to spend $150 for a veterinarian every year when the odds are 1 in 1.5 million he will not get rabies. Just curious why I cannot spend a few $ and inject him myself.

But if all dogs are NOT vaccinated, the odds of them getting rabies go WAAAAY up.

Several times a year local vet does a open air clinic where dog owners can bring their pets for the necessary shots. Not expensive. Less than $30/dog. Whatever is needed is given. Tag then put on collar, etc. Sincerely. bruce.

Certain prescription items you need for your dog like Heartguard (for heart worms) and meds for fleas and allergies won't be prescribed unless you visit yearly for rabies and distemper shots.

Coons and Possoms I'm guessing are the main culprits in which case
why would a dog need jabs if their not around like in a City ?
What other critters spread it ? Rats, Mice, Moggies?

There was a rabies outbreak while I was in the Lowcountry. F&G Officer said he'd never seen a case of rabies in a pet Which had been previously vaccinated.

But it should be for anyone around Nancy.

Oh how is that possible? Where or how would they be infected unless they were infected by a 1 in 1.5 million expousers?

Hello, the whole rabies thing is a scam that vets all over the US receives millions for no reason. If my dog needs a rabies shot, let me do it.

I had a diabetic doggie. I gave him insulin injections for 3 years. I had a prescription filled by Walmart and administered 2x a day. But the dictators will fine you if you do not go to a vet and pay dearly for a rabies shot.

Freedom is challenged in the USA every minute, of everyday, of every hour, 24/7. Little things grow to beasts.

Back in the day there was a saying, give them a inch and they will take a mile. The God awful truth is we gave them a mile and they took 100 million miles.

There is no longer a word for a pervert. No sexual activity between goats, sex with dead corpses, anal sex with 9 year olds is all OK. You have to WOKE up

Raccoons, possums, coyotes and foxes all carry rabies.

Skunks, bats and of course stray rabid dogs too.

Orangutan's and aardvarks are probably OK.
