    Sanctions are not a one way street ...

    It seems logical to me that if country A sanctions country B,
    then country B will most likely sanction country A in retaliation.
    But that doesn't seem to be the way Europe wants to play
    the game - they plastered Russia with multiple sanctions, but
    when Russia returns the favor they cry FOUL.

    This whole mess is ridiculous. It's a waste of resources and lives.

              You mean they believe they can sanction but it's not fair for them to be sanctioned ?

                  No, they believe fighting for their independence from Russia would be a good war. That's why they joined NATO.

                          As to "no such thing as a good war," do you honestly believe we should have left the Nazis in control of Europe, or the Japanese in control of the Philippines, Indonesia, Burma, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.?

                              No, but with millions dead, how could it be called Good ? Necessary or unavoidable would be better words
