Drugs are possibly the biggest problem facing the Country ...

Other problems like inflation and our borders can eventually be
brought under control, at least with somebody who knows what
they're doing in control instead of this current load of bozos, but
getting rid of drugs and curing addictions is a great deal harder.
Now the drug disease has Soldiers dying from overdoses.
This drug problem is a hundred times more deadly than any
Covid outbreak, yet Covid seems to be the main concern of
this administration. More people seem to have died from the
vax than the actual disease, according to reports. But that's
neither here nor there because deaths from drugs dwarfs both.

It could be cured overnite too or at least turned in the other direction.

There are currently laws on the books that allow capitol punishment for any criminal who sells drugs. The law is never enforced.

I say all drug sellers are criminals and if caught the punishment should be MANDATORY capitol punishment or death if you want to call it that. The only way a drug SELLER could get out of this would be to turn in his suppliers or the ones over him.

This would apply for sellers only. Drug users are addicted and need help but no one has to SELL drugs.

After a few sellers get snuffed out the supply will start to dwindle. Soon, no drugs would be available. There would always be a black market but think how hard and costly it would be to obtain drugs if such laws were enforced.

A seller would never know who was going to turn him in. As it is now, nothing is being done about it so the problem just grows.

Your question doesn't make sense. Our system is not an either/or proposition. You can go to prison for vehicular homicide. So if you scrape fenders while parking, are you going to prison for that?

IMHO those who die from drug use are deserving recipients of the Darwin Award.

There is a perennial plot on cop shows, "There's some bad drug killing all the druggies and we have to find it and get it off the street!"

            To which I say, "Why?"

What are you trying to say? That he shouldn't have gone to prison, or that he should?
