    Loretta Lynn died this week

She was far more ahead in the Womens Rights movement in the 1970s than other Conservatives. Her song The Pill was taboo on country music stations. Here are the lyrics:

Rest in Peace Loretta, I loved you and your music.

If I have all my facts right a lot of her songs she sang and wrote were based upon her life with her abusive adulterer husband who forced her to sing and make money while giving birth to a multitude of kids. She stuck with him though till he died in 1996. She was named after Loretta Young, the actress.

"Coal Miners Daughter" was a tribute to her father who was a coal miner who died at 52 with black lung disease.

While not a fan of hers nor country music I can respect all she accomplished and her influence on others. She had a lot or respect---you never heard an ill word about her.

    RIP
