The democrat's ploy is already at work! ie: mail in ballots can be counted even if the person's name/address is unreadable! Just like in 2020, the fial outcome of the 2022 election won't be known for 2-3 weeks after the polls close. During that time, boxes and boxes of mail in ballots will show up to be counted!

I agree, in principle (I would have some other exceptions) and election day should be a Federal Holiday.

What was done in the past before all the mail in, early voting fraud?

At some point family may need to help family. At some point a person may be too disabled to vote, just like they are too disabled to work.

One day soon we will all be too old and sick to vote or to even think about it.

There's lines to draw in the sand as to whether you can do something or not.

There should be absentee ballots for those that cannot get to the polls.
Election should be one day only. No late ballots. No mail voting except as above.
ID needed. Dyed finger might be a good idea. Vote counters should be videoed.

In our area, we have volunteers who will pick up voters who cannot for any reason make it on their own to the voting box!

Most counties have that service where they pick up and transport elderly, handicap, and those who simply need transportation. The vehicles are handicap access equipped.

All these hypotheticals about the way voting ought to be are fine, but every state determines its own rules and they range "from the sublime to the ridiculous."

I don't have much of a problem with how my state handles things.

In person voting requires a photo ID and is by a machine generated paper ballot. I do like the paper ballot part.

There are 2 weeks of early voting which IMHO is too much. A week would be fine.

The only mail voting is for absentees or hardships and requires jumping through some hoops, which in person voters don't go through, in the application process to get the ballot which is just alright by me.

As far as picking up and transporting people to the polls....once stories start to come out of people not getting to vote because their ride didn't show up (and they will) or there are pictures of an elderly cancer patient in a long line in a wheel chair in the cold you'll find a public reaction that won't be favorable.

In my state of Alabama I am satisfied with the voting as well. Picture ID is required when voting in person.

When I say paper ballots I am referring to the drop off boxes where people with "covid" can drive by and drop off countless stacks of marked paper ballots with no ID check.

With no checks, no barcodes---NOTHING a person can vote as many times as they like with no chance of repercussion since they are not identified. As long as this system is in place why would a dishonest person have any reason to vote in person?

No, we aren't going to change anything with our hypotheticals but the more of us that complain and compare notes the more likely people will take notice and observe during voting to help prevent "the crime of the century" from occurring again, as least not so widespread.

Oh, one thing about mail in voting in Texas you have to certify that, if you have to be out of your home county, you will need to show you will be gone not just on election day but during the period of early voting as well.
