Marco Rubio seemed to get beat up a little debating with Demmings. She reminds me of the old lady with the white hair that I can't stand. You know the one. She's so cool she starts every sentence with Look-
I think abortion is going to cost some votes.

    Abortion costs more than votes.
It deprives someone the eventual right to vote.

There are people with protest signs saying "Abortion saves lives."

      Every abortion TAKES a life.

Cost fewer votes than it gains. Pro abortion wants to allow the kid to be chopped up in the middle of birth. Antis vary from "none" to Plan B to 'not after viability'.

Go FtF in public debate with some 'Rat who believes in abortion even during birth and see the consensus.

What the hey! The Republicans did not overthrow Roe v. Wade, the SCOTUS did. It did not outlaw or forbid abortions, they just said it was the States legislature can do what their citizens decide at the ballot box.

A strictly democrat reality. Women have the free choice in what they do. Take the pill, do not have sex, use any of the other dozens of methods available to avoid pregnancy. But once that egg meets that sperm and a heart beat begins, that human has a right to life.

The Progressives/National/Socialist/Democrat do not believe States have any rights, including the right to regulate elections as explicitly outlaid in the U.S. Constitution.

In the red states Republicans almost always ran as pro life (anti abortion.) They passed "trigger laws" that would come into effect if Roe were ever overturned. I personally believe these laws were usually passed in the belief Roe would never be overturned so the votes were, in their original intent, symbolic.

Then Roe was overturned and the states that had passed the trigger laws were stuck with them. In Arkansas Asa Hutchinson (R) has said that the "trigger law" there needs to be re visited and modified. In Kansas probably the most red state in the union, a referendum struck down any changes in the states law allowing abortion in the first trimester 60%-40% so yes there is a bit of legislative remorse in the Red States.

Now to the OP. Will it cost the "Rs" some votes. Yes, our daughter and son-in-law are swing voters who have voted Republican in the past but are voting "D" in national and statewide races purely on abortion. However it probably won't make much of a dent in what is increasingly looking like a "red wave" election. Too many people have the economy and crime on the front burner.

Never forget that Americans are incredibly schizophrenic on abortion. While most don't mind abortion in the first 12 weeks most want restrictions in the second trimester and severe restrictions or an outright ban in the third trimester. Things aren't always that clear cut.

Red said it the best! Once that egg meets that sperm and a heart beat begins, that human has a right to life.

It is no more lawful to kill an infant because it would be inconvenient than it is to kill a clerk to keep her from identifying the man who robbed her.

Two weeks and counting! Sure looks like the death of Republican electoral chances are vastly overstated. Looks like Roe is not enough to tip things given the lousy economy, inflation, etc. Sincerely. bruce.

Don't get cocky. I think the 'Rats will look at close races and try their usual chicanery.
