    Little editorial (not from WSJ)

    -Liberalism, even socialism extending in some countries to communism, continues to spread in South and Central America. Why?

    I think it has something to do with intentions and feelings. It doesn't matter whether an idea or program works, only that people feel good about themselves by advocating for them. In this failed philosophy, intentions matter more than outcomes.-

    Brazil held a presidential election last Sunday. Here's how The Wall Street Journal reported the result: "Brazilians elected Luiz 'Lula' da Silva to the presidency again on Sunday, ousting incumbent Jair Bolsonaro by less than 2 percent of the vote. Latin America's largest country is gambling again on left-wing populism that has failed so often in the past."


    About Brazils election.

    A huge country with a large economy run by medieval kings. When asked, what can we do about the mess, someone said, nuke it and start over.
    That's probably the only solution. Ahh, maybe all of South America too. Just sayin' as they used to say.
    If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

      Election cheating isn't just an American problem, it's the way communism gains footholds.
      The Brazil election was stolen and an obedient media here and elsewhere censors those
      who would point out the fraud. Once the communist gain power they don't give it up easily.

          Socialism is the political system for losers -- those who can't make it in the real world want to pull down those who succeed. And politicians have found they can make millions by pandering to those people.

          And of course the people lusting for socialism don't understand that it can't work -- if they could understand, they wouldn't be socialist.

              With the demise of the USSR-31 years ago, the exposure of Marxism-Leninism as a fraud, a quack theory, one of the greatest failures in history, - "They didn't do it right !" -"Socialists" are free to define their dogma in anyway they want. "When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean-neither more nor less !"

                  It didn't work the last 4,327 times it was tried, but THIS time we're going to do it right.

                      If you keep at it long enough - it still won't work.
                      But it's not meant to work, it's meant to give power to those who milk it.
