It seems a "Hate Crime" is the most horrific crime imaginable...

even worse than 5 counts of Murder and 25 counts of attempted murder.
Assuming the guy is found guilty, he'll spend the next two hundred years
behind bars unless they execute him. So what the Hell is the use of an
additional few years for a hate crime ? Wokeism. This stuff has gone way
past the point of being ridiculous.

As George Orwell said "Thoughtcrime does not entail Death, Thoughtcrime IS death !"

I propose a Constitutional amendment: Anyone who advocates violating any other person's constitutional right shall suffer death or be forced to have sex with Nancy Pelosi.

No, I can't go along with kind of horrific torture.

I'd pay someone to "break in" and hit me in the head with a hammer before I went through that.

How about being forced to French kiss Maxine Waters?

Lori Lightfoot -- proof that Popeye and Olive Oyl should have never got married.

I note that two very brave patrons tackled the shooter and disarmed him. Fine, but in a bar full of people, was there nobody with a concealed firearm? Is that not the whole logic of allowing people to carry concealed weapons? What am I missing here?

Many states that have "shall issue" CCW laws have long lists of prohibited places-bars are usually on them-and grant business owners wide latitude to forbid carrying on their premises.

The logic of "allowing people to carry concealed weapons" is that they have a Constitutional RIGHT to do so.

And yes, I'm disappointed that no one at the bar was armed.

It's only a "hate crime" when WE do it. I don't think the accused killer of the 3 U of Va. football team members has been accused of a hate crime, the accused killer of the 4 workers at an Oklahoma pot farm has not been accused of one. I see they've already worked a Mormon angle into the Colorado Springs shooting though the alleged assailant now claims he's "non-binary".

I note they make a great deal about some criminal's grandfather being a Trump supporter.
