    A long strike seldom rewards the striking workers! A lot of hardships for the workers! They can seldom gain back what they lost during a strike!

        That was certainly the case in the Detroit Newspapers Strike. They lost more than they could ever regain. Essentially, the union used its members as cannon fodder.
