I remember those signs. The right to refuse service to a couple in
swimsuits at a high class restaurant where customers are well dressed.
That's just an example of a reasonable use of the right.
Now it seems, no matter what your skill, you cannot refuse it when a
pervert requests it without risking a lawsuit. If you don't wish to do
business with someone, especially someone whose ideas you don't
agree with, surely that's your right ? Not any more.

installed C Band Satellite dish systems, Tried to get small dish
franchise when they came out but was beat out by Circuit City,
The worst people to deal with were Realtors, Lawyers (of course)

Worked at a mom and pop outfit once (furniture manufacturing). The business was very successful mostly because the owner never paid for supplies. When the company ended he owed most every business he had bought from.

I was in the swimming pool supply store which is the last mall before the kids hit the river. These two girls came in looking for something. Hooters galore. I don't get too excited about that these days but the kid behind the counter took notice. After they left, he asked the other clerk, Did you see that? Not properly dressed? We're not kicking them out. No sir.
But if you are shocked and appalled by others behavior, I think you should have the right to refuse to be exposed to those people, even if they aren't 'doing it' right in front of you.
I can't stand football. If I don't watch it does that make me a racist? If I want to sell hotdogs at the stadium then I don't have any say about the hair styles. That's a specific arena.
If you have a business that covers a larger space then shouldn't you have the right to decern what part of the market you want to deal with? Normal people or weirdos. Those four words could go to the Supreme Court.
I rent a table at the gunshow. A lot of different people walk past. You know who I really can't stand? The old guy in a wheelchair with plastic hose up his nose....smoking a cigarette. I walk away. Yeah, I know it's an addiction. It's not something I'm 'comfortable with'. I have my rights.
