If the Republicans screw this up, I'm done with them ...

I'm really fed up with their stupid and constant infighting. If they can't get
their act together for this leadership vote, then as far as I'm concerned
they won't ever be a viable opposition to the Democrats.
Trump was the best of them and was a great President but when the
leftists went after him did any of them come to his defense ? No, they
let him hang out to dry. Now they've even turned against him. Talk about
fickle. I'm tired of cheering for a bunch of spastics who remind me of
the one legged football players in that Monty Python sketch.

Don't believe everything you hear and read. If fact you are listing a link from CNN.

The democrats are DEATHLY afraid of Trump getting back into office. They will say anything it takes to brainwash people into believing he is finished and doesn't have a snowball chance in hell of getting elected. If this was REALLY true why would they care? They would encourage Trump and no others.

If you'll notice the media never has any harsh words against DeSantis, Bolton, and not much against Cruz because Trump is their target. If one of the others wins the primaries then of course everything against Trump will automatically shift over to them.

Trump, as a person, has plenty of shortcomings. I wouldn't want him as a neighbor. He's not the type person you would want dating your daughter and so forth but who better for president?

In my opinion (and I think the democrats too) if Trump gets into office with an actual GOP led house and senate he will disassemble the FBI and DOJ as it needs to be which is the very backbone of the democrats.

I read reader comments for and against Trump in various articles which I consider a better source of truth. He still has a lot of support regardless of what the news media wants you to believe. Yes, members of his own party have turned against him. What does that tell you? Who are they supporting and agreeing with? Biden? I see Romney, Bolton, McConnell and other RINO's in the news daily.

The problem I see with the GOP is they still retain too many democrats as members that are in place to weaken and destroy it. Liz Cheney is on her way out. Meghan McCain, Romney, Collins and many others need to go.

Everything published now negative against the GOP is follow up for their goals of 2024. As far as McCarthy goes, yes, they need to agree and probably will. Whoever else is wanting the job needs to present their case.

You really think the Dems will allow Trump to get back in the WH ?
They'll prosecute him non stop for the next two years, and if
that doesn't stop him they'll fix the vote like they did before.
They know that if he got to be President again, many of them
would land up in prison. They'll assassinate him if need be.

The way things are now no Republican will ever get into office again at least as prez or a majority.

Do you believe the outcome of the 2022 midterms?

As said before: the main issues before the election was the economy, inflation, sky rocketing food and fuel prices and the lack of border control. All caused by the biden administration. Does it make sense to you that record numbers went out and voted to make things worse?

Bottom line is: when the day comes they can't win elections by fraud they will do it with brainwashing which is already in place. Republicans turning against Republicans are not Republicans in the first place. Perhaps the GOP needs to establish stringent rules and requirements in order to register into the party.

Republicans and conservatives are not a majority of the electorate. Demokrats and other extreme leftist are not a majority of the electorate. Between these two extremes are those whose votes decide elections. They are concerned with the issues that affect their day to day lives... jobs, paychecks, health costs, taxes, etc. This last election cycle went south for the Republicans and Conservatives b/c they failed to remember that when it comes to people in the middle, it's always the economy stupid! When a party goes stupid and focuses on what does not matter to the people casting the ballots, when a party focuses on issues that only matter to fellow extremists, then regardless of which party might make this mistake, they lose. To win candidates are going to have to learn to talk to the "deplorables," i.e., those men and women who are despised by extremist of either type ... except when it's time to go to the polls. To win candidates are going to have to develop effective ground games, they are going to have to get people to get out and vote early all the way down to the last minute. Trying to game the system to depress election turnout will last only as long as it takes for the side being depressed to win the courts. Then, it's game over. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.
