Another Democrat wonders why her Democrat-run city is so terrible

The latest example of this is Karen Bass, the newly elected Democratic mayor of Los Angeles. Bass took to Twitter to tell her constituents that they ?should not have to work three jobs just to afford to pay rent in Los Angeles.? It?s a noble sentiment, and one that everyone could agree on. And yet, Bass was promoted by the same Democratic establishment in Los Angeles that is responsible for the current state of the city.

The world is full of people who can hear a loud report, feel a sharp pain in the leg, notice smoke trickling out of their holster -- and never make the connection.

Follow the money. That term can go different ways. But it's mostly about money. CA is a phenomenally successful place. It's the oldtime Dubai. But, when you have millions and billions and now trillions of dollars floating around, don't you think that might attract some rodents?
So, the homeless are icky. The guy that just took the fabulous Hollywood chick to dinner doesn't want the mood wrecked by stepping over bums. And bums there are. It's like what I read about India when in grade school. There are the elites and another layer or two and then the untouchables. It's a ***** job but somebodies got to do it. Do you think being gov. of LA is all that great? Do you think being the assistant manager of the night shift of a McDonald's is all that great? How about being the manager of the city dump? Your the little guy.
Yes; being the governor of LA is a little job. There are people far above you that call the shots. That means it's routine to throw a little money towards the rodents because it seems nice. And the poor schmuck who is the governor get's blamed if nothing changes. They say all the nice things to get elected but...that's what they have to say even if they would like to say something else. They probably don't have much original material anyway.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

      They figure it out eventually.
Then- I shot myself. Some other Bable. That was the second time I'd 'heard' that story. My dad told when they were kids they got a hold of a rifle or pistol. They were playing with it and one kid fired a round throw his hand. What did he say? He said, he shot himself. Or precisely; I shot myself.
The boy looked closer and then pronounced himself cured. NoI didn't. Then he turned his hand over and saw the exit wound. What did he say? He said Yes, he did. Then wat did he say? Then what did he say? He said, I shot myself.
Oh, I remember now, the story about the kid who cut his hand off just like Nicolaus Cage the actor in Moonstruck. I read this in the paper, I'd like to say it's true.
The kid was half asleep It's a cold morning. He reports to the store and get's sent to cut some meat. He ran the chunk of meat through the bandsaw and just kept on going.
Loped off some of his hand and a few fingers. Someting like that. Lord and Behold, there is a nurse in the cafe. She grabbed up the hand and kept it safe. They sewed the kids hand back on. I don't think he'll ever play piano like he used to but ya know, it's better than nothing.

Nobody factors in the 30 or 40 million illegals affecting the housing market. They are a primary cause of the lack of housing.

Then and rent controls -- rent control dramatically cuts the available supply of housing.

Would YOU build an apartment building, knowing your rent would be set by the government, and kept below the rate of inflation>
