Early reports said he had probably shoveled many millions to his then "girlfriend" for safe keeping when he realized everything was about to come down and he be investigated. He spent the money as quick as it came in and kept no records.

As indicated, some democrats, celebrities and even Tom Brady were in cahoots with him and did some endorsing.

He was a HUGE contributor to the democrats including biden.

As stated above, he was endorsed by many democrats and liberal celebrities.

Don't know if it was a bond or bail but according to the articles I read no money was paid out, just the parents/mother's home put up for collateral. This house, if you viewed it, is only worth a tiny tiny fraction of a 250M bail. Sounds to me as another political favor.
