Well I see another post response of mine was just deleted by apparently the author of the post after I apparently posted some thing he did not like or agree with. Ah! the power of the delete button that allows people to run and hide from further discussion! Lol,

Like Alec Baldwin would say. "I didn't do it".
I did accidently screw up one of Marks (Mark in Ottawa) post the other day but owned up to it, replied to most of what was in the post, and said he could re-post and I wouldn't reply to it the 2nd go round. It was not deleted, just hit the wrong button while replying.
You may want to re-post?Last edited by Allen; 01-02-2023, 08:17. -
There may not be an answer for this. Perhaps a glitch in the system?
I hope no one is offended and suggest you re-post. If it continues to happen to you, especially with the same post, then we may have a problem that needs to be looked into.
If one of "us" is doing the deleting I would think a warning, a locked thread or PM would occur before deleting someones reply and only then if the reply was controversial to the forum. At the very least, a reason why.Comment

It was not a new thread but one with a number of posts! I'm sure it was deleted by the original author who probably was not liking my responses to his posts! But as I don't recall the name of the starter I don't want to say with out being sure! But I believe this was not the first time! Oh well!Last edited by rayg; 01-02-2023, 08:45.Comment

We've probably all changed, corrected or deleted comments that we've made. As far as someone deleting their own thread as the original poster/author I didn't know you could do that and had to request it. I may be wrong or some one may have more "button authority" than he should have.
I have not been involved in anything like this. All I've done so far is banned a bunch of spammers and locked a couple of threads. What was said in those threads can still be read and displayed as to why the thread was locked.Comment

a member can delete his\her threads, and that is their right
I can still see until a Mod or Admin deletes them completely,
as of a few hours ago only Dryheat had deleted anything I can see, and one else had posted in them,
time to move onComment

Dry heat, that name rings a bell! LolComment
