The five main Battle Tanks in the Russia/Ukraine war ...

Zelensky begged for small arms and got them. Then he begged for
anti-tank missiles and got them. Now he's begging fot Tanks and is
getting them. He's already hinted that his next round of begging
will be for Fighter Jets. What's next on his begging list ? Nukes ?

With four different Tanks to learn about, especially the Abrams needing
jet fuel, it sounds like a scenario similar to having too many different
    rifle calibers - Confusion.
Zelensky will probably request British, German. American and French Crews.

I read an article of concern the other day about this. The tanks may become disposable Cricket lighters. They are free, the manufacturers are plenty---the parts don't interchange, the mechanics will not have the knowledge to be able to work on multiple brands and may not be able to get parts. I would assume they take different ammo as well.

Still, better than what they have but one brand of tanks would have been better.

If crews are brought in we have boots on the ground and suddenly we are in WWIII. We are practically there now with our equipment being advertised, shown and used.

The more we (and others) do the less Zelensky will do and it will become our war instead of their war.

It certainly would be better if only one type of tank was used but I assume the tanks will be used in separate locations from each other and those locations will be supplied with the parts only for the tanks used in each location.

Hopefully so but remember it's not easy getting in and out of a place like that when they need parts let alone the tanks. I'm sure their source of fuel is gone as well needing supplies from Poland or somewhere.

Everything is far more difficult in the middle of a war.
For instance, how and where will the tanks (especially the Abrams)
be delivered ? How will they get to the front ?
We're talking many many months and anything can happen
during that time. Sounds easy on paper, but in reality ?

When examining captured and destroyed US equipment at Kasserine Pass Rommel noted the high degree of standardization . When US forces arrived in North Africa the British asked them "How much do you have in the way of reserves ?" and the answer was "5%". The British replied "You need 100 %." In the ETO superior US maintenance and supply
made up for inferior equipment. In Vietnam a supply system that didn't work properly-"We're waiting on spare parts" and relying too much on OJT mechanics-"Watch the experienced guys"-the 1st Cav never achieved more than 75% of air mobility, 55-65% more the average. In his book Xinh Loy Viet Nam Al Sever mentions seeing a large storage unit full of a particular component. He was told it was a simple repair but "nobody knew how to do it."
