Hopefully the survivors of putin and his cabal will be able to do better than cling to bread and promises offered to them by whoever next seeks to ascend to the golden chair of communist power. This is doubtful. It took our forefathers a while to figure out the representative republic model. The colonial period was a very helpful precursor. The folks in Russia will have a steeper learning curve lacking as they do any real experience with representative democracy, legitimate elected leaders, etc. Happily putin has stuck his foot into a Russian bear trap called Ukraine. The good folks of Ukraine are steadly chewing the Russian army out of equipment and manpower. The little fellow in Moscow is finding he has less and less space to draw back to and fewer people who are willing to listen to his braying about victory, etc., etc., etc. Others will do well to learn from the lesson they are teaching him and his people.
