Scientists cure autism in Mice. Boy I was really worried about that ...

I'm glad the Scientific community came together and acted
fast to quell this threat to Mankind before it swept the World.
The dysfunctional Mice that inhabit my kitchen have agreed
to take the pill. Now I can sleep at night.

Actually, progress on Autism is good news. My youngest daughter is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and specializes in pediatrics. She has quite a few autistic patients and can tell you what a scourge this disease is.

I have to wonder why so many kids these days are alleged to suffer from this.
When I was a Kid, it was chicken pox, scarlet fever etc. Now it's Autism ?

Part of it is due to better diagnostic tools. Kids who would have been misdiagnosed earlier, or simply ignored are getting treatment.

Maybe they're finding things that aren't there.
Kids used to be kids, now they're walking basket cases
Trouble is they're suffering from the effects of Woke more than Autism.

Kids today remind me of caged chickens. There's W-A-Y too many of them (though not their faults). They have no place to play, no place to hunt, no place to shoot, they live in apartments or subdivisions with NO yards, they have no lasting friends for many reasons, the kids they have to play with are probably muslims or WTF's, they don't live in one place very long due to their parents getting their homes foreclosed on or losing their jobs, their schools suck even more now than they did when we went, and on and on. Not much for them to look forward to.

Our public school system has collapsed -- American kids, despite the trillions we've poured into education -- are falling farther and farther behind kids in other industrialized nations.

There is a cure for ignorance. Some folks need to avail themselves of that cure. It is only a keyboard click away. If all someone can do is spout about what they are ignorant, they need only spend some time reading, spend some time listening to folks who actually know what they are talking about. Some of they are college educated professionals. Others have on the job training as they raise their children, some of whom are autistic. If anyone is genuinely in doubt as to the whether or not this is a genuine illness, they can be quickly disabused of their doubt by getting up off their couch and actually educating themselves.

For my part, over the last 45 years I've seen a lot of children, some happy and well adjusted, some isolated and lost in a world that even the most loving parent could not enter. I am retiring in a few months, earlier than I'd expected, for the simple reason that I have a grandson who needs me. I'm determined to do whatever I can to help him make whatever progress he can that he might have a life worth living. Hopefully all of you will see your children and grandchildren live happy lives without struggling with seemingly unpredictable and insensible tragedy. Sincerely. bruce.

As goes the education system, so goes the Nation.
Dumb kids make for even dumber teachers - and so it goes.

The decline of education is exemplified by the current residents of the White House
and their hirelings. Buttergeeg is a perfect example. It would be hard to find anyone dumber.

There's fifty ways to leave your lover; and fifty ways to raise your kids (or five hundred according to the net). Pick one. Any one. At least give it a try. I'm childless, so I have little room to talk, but like anything else, dithering, or worse yet, doing nothing leaves a lot of open space.
Parents, just have to spend time with them. That's it. Show them some love. Yeah, it's eighteen yrs.; You don't have to be there every minute, just enough. How many kids get actual love and attention? - heard the stories from people who say, we were poor, but we had love and good parents who worked to put food on the table for us. A great upbrings in their opinion (John Boy, et el). The Ten Commandments set a route. I sure as hell don't believe in God, but I like the commandments.
But; if you have a retarded kid who is bi-polar or autistic I recommend drowning right off. I've come across "mental" kids who had mental parents. You want to nip that, but then, your dealing with nitwits in the first place (it's a tough one). Stupid people have stupid kids ya know.
Now there are "smart" kids who turn out to be dangerous. Thing is, they are smart enough to slide by (or their parents are afraid of them). Watch out for them too.
The reason kids have asma these days, is because they don't play in the dirt anymore (look it up). That's it.

If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.
