Ugly and slow. I was in the 5 minute alert airplane and we were launched when it was detected by the E-2 100 miles away. It would be seen by either the Hawkeye or a destroyer and then lost I never got a radar lock and our doppler radar could not see it because it was so low and slow, at about 159 knots and 50? altitude. We had to have the flaps and gear down and still could not fly that slow. They flew down the flight deck and you could almost hear the cameras clicking.

Sounds almost like a stall speed to me. I guess for a spy plane with camera's slow is what you need though.
