Why only a Black History Month?

My thinking for what it's worth and which is probably nothing! But does the US really need a whole Black History Month now days? In so much as there's is no Jewish history month, or Irish history month nor a Chinese or Korean month etc.! Keep in mind these are months not days. All of which have had slavery at one time! Why are we selecting only one race and especially one that originates from numerous different countries. Is it fair to all the other people from other countries who had slavery a one time? It's just a question!

Every February, the United States populace is notified that Americans of African descent have a whole history month. TV and radio stations air special programming, displays of black-authored books appear in bookstore windows, signs pop up in grocery stores and shopping malls. Anyone who so much as glances at social media or steps foot out of their front door discovers, if they didn?t already know, that February is Black History MONTH.

Isn't it time to treat every one equal in the US?

Any way just a thought of mine!

I always thought it had a negative affect against the blacks. One month. What does that tell you about the other 11 months.

The airwaves used to filled during commercial breaks about what this or the other had invented. Unfortunately it was only about 8-12 things that were viewed over and over for the whole month.

Again, what does that tell you? Every other thing, happening or idea, and 100's of thousands of inventions were invented by the whites. Back then Asians, Hispanics, Russians were all considered whites too. Now, every kid on the block is a different race. Sometimes judged by how they hold a pencil when they write.

The book '1619' supposedly said blacks were here first; also the First Lady, meaning Moochell B., said black slaves built the White House. Blacks have claimed to have invented the booze called 'Jack Daniels'. First there was MLK's birthday in January where most everyone got the day off work. Now, no mention of Washington or Lincolns birthdays. Before long blacks will have invented the first flying machine or the 'horseless carriages'. 99% of TV commercials feature blacks living in mansions and driving 90 grand autos. An outsider would think the population of the U.S. is 90% black. Hey! My best friend is black!

Look at the old Bill Cosby show. The father is a doctor and the wife is a lawyer. Yeah, right, soooooo typical.

Due to segregation about 95% of those KIA in WWII were white. How much do you hear about that ?
Germans have been the biggest immigrant group to this country, in the 19th Century they were considered models of hard work, thrift, sobriety, piety, family values, but 2 world wars made German unfashionable. A few years ago Reverend Bernice King-daughter of MLK-visited Trenton, decried the high rate of illegitimacy in the black community, she was met with silence, if a white politician had said something, you can imagine the reaction.
