So how long does it take to get a U.S. passport to travel to foreign countries?

Quote from the US State Department:

Current Processing Times: Processing times have changed several times in the last few months. As of March 24, we are processing routine applications in 10-13 weeks?

If you are a foreign citizen and want to travel to the US, it takes roughly 20 minutes to cross the RIO Grande, no passport needed.

Maybe we should put t he passport people in charge of getting illegals across the Rio Grande. It would slow the influx to a trickle.

Do you have a gold star on your drivers license? I got one on my DL about 3+ years ago. It took about an hour at the license bureau. I had several Document, a BC, a Veterans ID, a utility bill, etc. They printed it off right then and there.

Since then I have travelled to Canada, Mexico, Belize, and Honduras. No passport needed.
