House Passes Bill to Ban Men from Womens Sports, No Democrat Support

House Passes Bill to Ban Men from Womens Sports with No Democrat Support

Every single Democrat congressperson voted against this measure?

The House passed on Thursday the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, a bill that would amend Title IX to prevent men from competing against women in school sports.

No Democrat voted in favor of the measure, which passed 219 to 203.

Along the same party lines it will probably fail in the senate but women will know who is with them and who isn't.

This is going to create an interesting politcal fault line and realignment.

Question: What part of the Constitution gives the Federal Government power to regulate sports?

You could probably argue the Commerce Clause.

The commerce clause is part of the Original Constitution. It is amended by the 10th Amendment.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Since the United States is not delegated the power to regulate sports, it cannot assume that power.

It shouldn't even be a discussion. Men/women's sports. What part don't you get? There's faggy little deebs that the Olympians could take out with one punch and six foot 275 pounders who can whup women. None of them should be there.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Biological women should protest such sports where trans men are allowed to play. In other words, women should not play!

I agree -- but that's not a Federal matter. It's none of Congress' business.

Unfortunately that looks like what it's coming to starting in grade school. Of course, in school students are FORCED to take PE so girls refusing to play sports could face failing the course. That's when the parents would come to play threatening to sue the school board and principal allowing boys to participate in girls sports. The younger the kids the lesser the problem but students and parents are going to have to make a stand since no one else will.

At college level and pro sports a birth certificate should determine who's who.

The Republicans in the House forced the Democrats to go on the record, now they'll have to defend their vote. About 70% of the population opposes biological males competing against women in sports so this could be a wedge issue next time up. In the Senate Schumer won't allow a vote on anything like this because he's aware of the foregoing facts.

The Republicans support a bill protecting women's sports while Jill Biden applauds a "Woman of the Year" award given to a transgender. Go figure.

True -- but violating the Constitution for tactical reasons is still wrong.

Our Constitution is violated every day. The amendments are twisted and turned for the needs of the politicians.

1st Freedom of speech. Yeah you can technically say anything you want just like in Russia or China. Just be prepared to pay the fines, jail time, firing and other for doing so.

2nd Where will our rights to own guns end? Yeah someday you may still be able to buy and own a gun provided you pay a $10K license and $1K yearly fee to the BATF for a black powder muzzle loader.

14th Anchor babies was never intended for children of illegals but look where that is now.

Rape and murder are committed every day, that doesn't make it right!

Our goal should be to dramatically reduce murder, rape and violations of the Constitution. That means to oppose every single instance.
