Saw something today that the greenies don?t want you to know

Just North of Joplin In Southwest Missouri on Hwy. 43, I saw the 69 400-foot-tall wind turbines of the North Fork Ridge Wind Farm in Barton County, MO.

Great place (a prairie where the wind blows a lot). I have no clue to how much these mills cost, nor do I know how much electricity one generates. But I can tell you that most are turning and generating power. What I saw was 20-25% were not turning and not generating anything and this project is relatively young.

    Just my $.02.
The "Green New Deal" in action. There is a solar array of two square miles going in off Hwy Y in Lincoln County Mo. Canadians are leesing the ground on a yearly basis. There was absolutely no advance notice of the project. No environmental impact study, no permits, nothing to impede construction. There are three nice residential areas impacted by this. I suppose, when the government subsidy runs out the Canadian investors will un-ass the area.

Our local hospital turned converted 3 acres of valuable farm land into all solar panels.
A few miles away, on a 4 lane highway, there is a rest stop powered by a windmill. The noise from that thing is LOUD!

a friend owns some land down in SE Va, he has, last time we chatted, several farmers that want to buy it or lease it for crops, but there is also a company that was interested in it for Solar,
the Solar company pays 3x's what anyone else would, so he was holding out

there is a small solar farm down on Middlesex Co, IIRC , which is odd, since most farmland on the east side of VA is planted in Soy or Corn for the chicken farmers to use

I've read numerous complaints about the noise.

Don't see why land can't be used to farm too that houses windmills provided an access is granted to get them for repairs. The panels would be another issue.

Take a ride to Maine. Nothing but solar panels along the interstate, OTR truckers talk about it. Loosing alot of hayfields to them

Unrelated question: Where did the term OTR (over the road) truckers come from? Where else are they going to drive? Under the road (UTR), beside the road (BTR). Just wondering.
