Russia knew that Ukraine would not be allowed to join NATO if they were at war?

As no country who is a war would be allowed to join NATO's per NATO' rules.

I'm sure the Russians knew this and it could be probably one of the reasons they invaded to prevent them from joining! And in fact may be the main reason!

Don't forget who got millions from Ukraine BEFORE the warring started. Hunter and Joe were heavily involved in Ukraine enterprises. They didn't want to loose 'face' by ignoring them!
