Our Prime Minister may be a total idiot but Canada is not a dictatorship of any sort. The pastor was not convicted because of his opposition to masks or for saying so. He was convicted for trying to block the highway to the USA and thereby interfering with the economy and international trade. In my opinion, he got off too lightly.

Regarding the Canada one here is a quote of the article!

The latter charge suggested that Pawlowski’s speaking to protesters on the Alberta-Montana border was an attack on the province’s road infrastructure, as he encouraged them to continue an ongoing blockade demanding the lifting of coronavirus-related mandates. Prosecutors were demanding up to ten months in prison for the pastor on the grounds that he has publicly and repeatedly denied having any remorse for his vocal opposition to lockdowns.

Unless there was more in the article, it sure only sounds like he was not personally involved in the blocking unless the article is not complete!
