Now This is Interesting - Party Switch

The Mayor of Dallas, Tx. says he's switching sides and changing party affiliation from "D" to "R."

Unfortunately you can't read the article unless you have a Wall Street Journal subscription but in a nutshell the Democrat Mayor of Dallas says his city has thrived while other big cities have declined because he has rejected Democrat doctrine, and, since Republican policies he has embraced have worked better he's joining that party.

Well, he's not a sleeping Giant, but at least he's woken up.

The reason is not that simple. He is switching because there are far more Republican voters in Texas.

      Quote:

Texas is a majority Republican state with Republicans controlling every statewide office. Texas Republicans have majorities in the State House and Senate, an entirely Republican Texas Supreme Court, control of both Senate seats in the US Congress. Texas is America's most-populous Republican state.

Which is worse: A liberal Republican or a conservative Democrat?

A liberal Republican. (RINO) Makes you wonder if they're put into office by the dems to undermine the GOP.

They make up part of the GOP pool yet side with the left. A conservative dem will sometimes go against the grain of his party but you know ahead of time to not trust them and expect them to be a democrat.

There should be set guidelines for the Republican party including what determines that you are a Republican. These people are voted in and the voters expect them to act in their behalf.

As to rules of the dems, I could care less but they should at least support our country, which of course, they don't.
